A Sweet Summer Wedding at The Chef’s Table Milwaukee
August in Milwaukee has a special kind of magic. It’s the blur of backyard BBQs, afternoons at the lake, and warm nights connecting over cocktails. The Chef’s Table provided the best of all of that for C and A’s wedding. Their celebration was as intimate and heartwarming as C and A were sweet. I’m so grateful that I got to photograph their day.

Since restaurants are already decorated, you can do as much or as little you want. The Chef’s Table combines vintage industrial charm with warm woodwork and carefully curated decor. The quirky light fixtures and red walls of the Prohibition Era-inspired speakeasy go a long way in creating ambiance.
Flowers go a long way in giving restaurants that wedding feeling. C and A’s florist created whimsical arrangements in a classic white and green palette. I loved the little arrangements lining the center of the dining table as well as the larger pieces on the bar. They suited the aesthetic of the restaurant but still felt special.

When you have a restaurant wedding, you don’t have to choose between a beautiful venue and a delicious meal. The Chef’s Table is sure to impress. Executive Chef and Founder David Magnasco has traveled widely and studied culinary arts in Italy. He brings all of that experience to developing custom menus.
C and A were especially excited to work with Chef David because they wanted to go all in on their dream dinner party. The team at The Chef’s Table even curated wine pairings for each course.

Ceremonies typically take place in The Courtyard, a lush little space with a firepit and room for a tent. The Chef’s Table has five distinct spaces that you can use for your wedding reception:
- The Main Space
- The Courtyard
- The Lower Level (includes the Speakeasy)

C and A’s Sweet Summer Wedding
At C and A’s wedding, the guests were surprised and delighted by the atmosphere. The wedding made use of every part of The Chef’s Table. For the ceremony, we gathered in The Courtyard to watch C and A exchange vows. The portraits in the vegetable patch are some of my favorites from the night.
After the ceremony, everyone headed to the basement speakeasy for cocktail hour. This was followed by dinner at the 28-foot Grand Table. All of the guests loved looking at the eclectic decor. The wine and food alone made for endless conversation.
