Michaela and Tom’s Lake Park Bistro wedding was a beautiful down-to-earth celebration. When they first inquired about having me document their day they stressed their desire to be present with their friends and family. We worked together to create a timeline that optimized candid moments that captured the day as it unfolded naturally.
Michaela got ready in her childhood home surrounded by her closest friends and family. They wanted a less formal “first look,” and opted for a casual set up where they met up in the backyard. A slow, intentional start to the day set the tone for being present and connecting with one another.
A quintessential Milwaukee location that embraces a classic aesthetic. The warm wood floors and windows overlooking Lake Michigan create a space that feels cozy. Being so close to the lake is also great for photos, the grand staircase behind the bistro is the perfect location for couples portraits as well as group shots.
A short walk from Lake Park Bistro through Lake Park is North Point Lighthouse which is where Michaela and Tom decided to have their ceremony. Flowers for dreams created a stunning installation for a backdrop hanging from their chuppah. After the ceremony Michaela and Tom led their guests by parade led by a live band to cocktail hour.
Lake Park Bistro’s hospitality is top notch, endless appetizers and champagne just an arm’s length away. The live band stuck around and entertained guests. Everything about their day felt genuine and full of love. Michaela and Tom radiate kindness and sincerity and their wedding day truly reflected their values.
