35mm film wedding photography is having a renaissance! This beautiful and timeless medium has captured my heart. I’m absolutely in love with the perfectly imperfect and naturally nostalgic images film creates. In a fast paced world, film gives us an opportunity to slow down, embrace life as it is in this moment. Adding 35mm film to your wedding day feels like a secret highlight reel of moments. The occasional light leek, blur, and grain evoke those warm cozy feelings of nostalgia.
We’ve all seen film photos from our childhood, whether it was from our parents wedding, or grandparents’ weddings, there’s just something about those film photos that makes the moment feel extra special. Adding 35mm film to your wedding is an aesthetic tradition that never goes out of style.
35mm film feels real, the nostalgic unedited quality gives us those honest moments that we crave. Each exposure is unique depending on the lighting/situation.
When you add 35mm film to your wedding day it means that I’ll shoot film alongside digital. I offer an option to add 35mm priced per roll. I recommend adding at least two rolls, one black and white and one color.
Film FAQ:

A: Roughly 30-36 exposures per roll are album-worthy!
Do you share negatives?
A: Upon request and with an additional fee. Must be specified prior to your wedding/session.
Do you develop your own film?
A: I wish! I mail the film out to be developed at a lab and they send me the digital scans. It’s the most time efficient process for busy season.
Can we order prints?
A: Absolutely! All of my digital galleries come with an option to use all images for prints, albums, etc.

We absolutely loved having Lauren shoot 35mm film on our wedding day! There is just something so magical about how the moments are captured in time, especially thinking back to how my parents and grandparents had their wedding captured on film too! The way they turned out is like no other. We will cherish them for years and years to come!
