The Club at Lac La Belle is a Milwaukee wedding venue with a lot to offer. From a modern, airy reception space to naturally beautiful portrait locations, it’s a joyful place to celebrate a wedding. Hannah and Justin chose classic wedding details to enhance the venue’s elegance and set the stage for a tender wedding day.
The Club at Lac La Belle is a relatively new Milwaukee wedding venue. It has a modern farmhouse aesthetic with minimalist white walls and warm wood ceiling beams. Tall windows let in lots of natural light, giving the space an airy quality. With seating already in place, the venue is very easy to style.
Hannah and Justin opted for a church ceremony, but you can definitely have your ceremony at the Club at Lac La Belle. You could have it outdoors on the lush lawn. If the weather is fickle, the interior could easily be set up for an indoor ceremony in front of the bright windows.
As you might have guessed from the name, the Club at Lac La Belle is part of a golf club in Lake Country. Your rental includes the use of a golf cart, so you can get to beautiful portrait sites more easily. The fields and hills are especially romantic around sunset.
The Carriage House, the club’s name for the building in which weddings are held, includes a prep suite. Its patio is perfect for cocktail hour and quiet moments with your people through most seasons. There are even firepits and outdoor furniture so everyone can enjoy the landscape while staying cozy.
The Club at Lac La Belle is a great venue for large weddings. It has capacity for up to 240 people. During peak season (May through October), rental packages start at $8,200 on Saturdays. You can save at least $1,000 by choosing an off-peak date for your wedding.
Even though this wedding venue feels remote, it’s only 45 minutes from Milwaukee Bay. It’s an easy trip for many locals or anyone staying in the city.
Everything about Hannah and Justin’s wedding at the Club at Lac La Belle was classic. They started the day with a gift exchange. Justin gave Hannah a Tiffany bracelet, and she gave him a watch. A very emotional first touch followed.
Hannah looked so breathtaking. The pearls on her Tiffany bracelet echoed the ones on her sash and shoes. Her veil billowed behind her when she walked. Even Hannah’s dad had to wipe away tears when he saw her for the first time. Justin got just as misty-eyed when he saw her walking down the aisle.
Like I mentioned before, Hannah and Justin chose to have a traditional church wedding. The church was beautiful with tall stained glass windows. The sun shone through and illuminated the whole ceremony in a dreamy light. The ceremony was formal, but family and friends shared such genuine moments of joy.
Hannah and Justin’s florist decorated the church and the Club at Lac La Belle with elegant white floral arrangements. They coordinated nicely with the white rose bouquets that Hannah and her wedding party carried. The high-low arrangements on the table also included greenery mirrored in the chandeliers. This was such a great way to carry the decor above guests’ heads and make the whole look very intentional and cohesive.
After the wedding, Hannah and Justin explored the Club at Lac La Belle with their wedding party. The tree-lined paths and rolling hills made incredible backdrops for romantic portraits. The carefree setting was a nice contrast to the stunning but formal church. While we took portraits, guests enjoyed lawn games at cocktail hour.
Instead of spreading all their events throughout the night, Hannah and Justin condensed their timeline at the beginning of the reception. This meant I got to photograph all the big moments, including the cake cutting and sparkler “exit” while there was still plenty of natural light. They also got to spend the rest of the evening more relaxed with their guests.
